WATAUGA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING, THURSDAY, JUNE 1, 2000
The Watauga County Board of Commissioners held a budget work session on Thursday, June 1, 2000 in the large conference room, 2nd floor, Watauga County Human Services Building. Those present were: Chairman Hodges, Commissioners Coffey, and Lawrence, Sr., County Manager Nelson, and Finance Director Isaacs.
Chairman Hodges called the meeting to order at 1:05 P.M.
Commissioners Kohles and Sweeting were attending another meeting at the County Manager’s Office and joined the work session at 2:15 P.M.
County Manager Nelson and Finance Director Isaacs reviewed the proposed Fiscal Year 2000/2001 budget for Board discussion. The following individuals spoke on behalf of the Board of Education: Superintendent, Dr. Dick Jones, School Board Members Dr. Bob Richardson and Dr. Jim Deni, and Finance Officer, Ms. Leta Councill. In addition, Dr. Ken Boham spoke on behalf of Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 P.M.
