WATAUGA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING, THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 2014
The Watauga County Board of Commissioners held a special meeting on Thursday, August 28, 2014, in the Commissioners’ Board Room, Watauga County Administration Building. Those present were: Chairman Miller, Vice-Chairman Blust, Commissioner Kennedy, Commissioner Welch, Commissioner Yates, County Manager Geouque, Clerk to the Board Fogle, and County Attorney Eggers.
Chairman Miller called the meeting to order at 5:01 P.M.
A proposed Purchase and Sales Contract was presented to the Board from Mr. John Winkler for the County-owned property located at 347 Oak Street in the amount of $160,000.
Mr. Winkler requested to amend the contract to include a 180 day investigation period and to amend Attachment I of the contract to include a zoning permit for a minimum of 18 bedrooms. Mr. Winkler assured that he wished to close as soon as possible on the property.
After brief discussion, Commissioner Yates, seconded by Commissioner Welch, moved to accept the offer as amended and begin the upset bid process.

Nay-0
Commissioner Kennedy, seconded by Commissioner Welch, moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:06 P.M.
