WATAUGA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING, TUESDAY, MAY 12, 2009
The Watauga County Board of Commissioners held a budget work session on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, in the Commissioners’ Conference Room, Watauga County Administration Building. Those present were: Chairman Deal, Vice-Chairman Winkler, Commissioner Kinsey, Commissioner Futrelle, County Manager Nelson, Deputy County Manager Geouque, Finance Director Isaacs, and Deputy Finance Director Pierce. Also in attendance were Watauga County School Board Members: Mr. Lowell Younce, Dr. Lee Warren, Ms. Deborah Miller, and Ms. Marsha Walpole, Dr. Marty Hemric, Watauga County Schools Superintendent; Ms. Ly Marze, Board of Education Finance Director; and Dennis Ray, School Maintenance Director were also in attendance.
Chairman Deal called the meeting to order at 4:02 P.M.
The School Board reviewed their request and thanked the Board for contributions and support for the upcoming fiscal year 2009-2010.
County Manager Nelson, Deputy County Manager Geouque, and Finance Director Isaacs continued review of the proposed fiscal year 2009/2010 budget.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 P.M.
