WATAUGA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING, TUESDAY, MAY 27, 2008
The Watauga County Board of Commissioners held a budget work session on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in the Commissioners’ Conference Room, Watauga County Administration Building. Those present were: Vice-Chairman Winkler, Commissioner Cooper, Commissioner Kinsey, Commissioner Moretz, County Manager Nelson, Assistant County Manager Geouque, Finance Director Isaacs, and Deputy Finance Director Pierce. Also in attendance were Watauga County School Board Members: Mr. Lowell Younce, Dr. Lee Warren, Ms. Debra Miller, and Mr. Ron Henries. Dr. Bobbie Short, Watauga County Schools Superintendent; Ms. Ly Marze, Board of Education Finance Director; and Billie Hicklin, Assistant School Superintendent were also in attendance.
Commissioner Cooper called the meeting to order at 4:04 P.M. Chairman Deal was absent due to a prior commitment. Vice-Chairman Winkler arrived at 4:33 P.M.
The School Board reviewed their request and thanked the Board for contributions and support for the upcoming fiscal year 2008-2009.
The Command Staff for the Sheriff’s Office reviewed their requests and thanked the Board for contributions and support for the upcoming fiscal year 2008-2009.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
