| Description | Watauga County Parks and Recreation currently hiring soccer officials for youth soccer matches (U6 - U15 leagues). Anyone wanting to officiate youth soccer games for Watauga County Parks and Recreation is required to attend a 2-day officiating clinic as well as work scrimmage games.
The season runs from early September through early November. Games are played Monday – Friday at 5:30 pm or after and on Saturday mornings between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. The work schedule is flexible. Games are played locally. Officials must work well with kids, have knowledge of soccer, and be able to control all aspects of the game environment. The clinic will be held on a weekend in late August. The cost of the clinic is $25 per official and may be paid the day of the clinic. Officials will be provided a rule book, class materials, warning cards, officiating shirt, and whisle/lanyard. Any part of the clinic missed may affect an official's work schedule. Officials who are currently NFHS Certified may be excused for certain pre-determined days of the clinic.
